The leaf on a Novolux door is comprised of multiple sections. The use of specially dimensioned aluminium profiles enables frame designs offering a huge choice of infill options. Combine the frame with raised aluminium panels, choosing between light permeable, coloured, insulated, or air permeable. Virtually anything goes.

Playing with light and visibility
NovoLux 40 mm sectional doors can be enhanced with a huge choice of acrylic windows of different grades, insulation classes, colours and textures. Choose between coloured glass or multiskin sheets, play around with the section layout and combine Thermo panels with NovoLux sections to create the best possible effect. NovoLux 40 doors offer a huge range of design and application options, especially where a lot of light is needed to work in the building, but appearance is also important.

NovoLux 60 mm industrial sectional door

NovoLux 60 mm sectional doors are modern and innovative. They look good, function reliably, and are easy to install. NovoLux sectional doors with 60 mm panels are standard supplied with triple glazing and guarantee exceptional thermal and acoustic insulation performance, while preventing condensation. Ideal for areas requiring good light and visibility, and a constant room climate.

Special insulation profiles
NovoLux 60 doors are one and a half times thicker than their NovoLux 40 counterparts, and are made of two aluminium profiles that are thermally separated with special insulation profiles. As a result, these doors have very low U values, even when windows are incorporated. NovoLux 60 mm sectional doors are particularly suited for industrial environments where light is key, but good insulation and super energy efficiency are also important.

NovoLux 40 mm / 60 mm: the details

Section joints
The joints between sections on a NovoLux 40 door are wind and water repellent, thanks to rubber EPDM seals.

Aluminium frames
Aluminium window frames keep the joints sealed and the appearance good, even when temperatures fluctuate strongly.

Condensation
Condensation can easily form on the inside of a standard NovoLux 40 door when it is cold outside and humid in the hall. After all, moisture condenses on the coldest surface in a room, and that is the door. If you don't want condensation to form on the inside of your NovoLux door, opt for a NovoLux 60. It is fitted with special insulation profiles that prevent condensation, even in very humid rooms.

Wind load
Depending on the width, NovoLux doors are made from a single piece of material, with stiffening profiles incorporated. These profiles enable the door to withstand heavy wind loads. We integrate thicker and/or higher profiles, depending on the configuration of the door. A stiffening profile is fitted on every second panel on doors that are 4200 mm or wider, and on every section on doors that are 5000 mm or wider.

Triple acrylic glazing
NovoLux 60 doors are standard triple glazed for particularly good insulation performance. The panes are mounted in thermally separated insulation profiles. Double acrylic glazing is optionally available, albeit with reduced insulation performance.

Infrared scan
A NovoLux 60 guarantees exceptionally good insulation performance. The bright spots on the scan show where energy losses are occurring. The dark spots are well insulated.

Section joints
The joints between sections on a NovoLux 60 door are wind and water repellent. Special insulation profiles inhibit thermal transmission.

NovoLux XL sectional doors

Maximum transparency with no vertical supports in the way

NovoLux XL is an aluminium door that can be supplied in 40 mm or 60 mm versions. What makes this door so special is that there are no vertical supports between the sections, allowing for a broad window.

The high-quality plexiglass is particularly strong and thick, hardly warps, and looks like glass although it is acrylic. As a result, the window reflections look natural and the door has an attractive appearance.

Plexiglas Optical
NovoLux XL doors can be supplied to a maximum width of 4000 mm and a maximum height of 4500 mm. They are the perfect choice for surroundings requiring an attractive building appearance combined with good light and visibility in the hall. We use "plexiglass optical" which looks like real glass but offers the security of acrylic. Plexiglass optical is available in 20 mm double glazed and 40 mm triple glazed options.

Colours

1001 design options

NovoLux doors are standard supplied in anodized aluminium, colourless. That doesn't mean you can't have colour though. The aluminium can be wet coated in a colour of your choice on request. Combining the aluminium with Rodeca glazing or Thermo panels in one of 10 colours from Novoferm's standard range gives you 1001 possible design options.

Infills and window variants

Aluminium frames

Novoferm is one of the few providers in the sector to use anodized aluminium glass retaining strips as standard. You will often find doors with glazing mounted in black plastic frames. They not only look less attractive and are less durable; their expansion coefficient differs from that of aluminium.

Plastic expands sooner in warm weather, causing the window frame to warp. Our aluminium frames do not have this problem. And they offer the added benefit of glass retaining strips that can be supplied in a colour of your choice.

Endless possibilities

Manifold infills

Novoferm offers endless possibilities for incorporating glazing in NovoLux doors. The glazing is available in a large number of grades, colours, transparencies and models, giving architects huge scope for designing your NovoLux door. Choose between single acrylic glazing or 4 mm tempered glass. Or between double acrylic glazing or textured glass. Or what about single perforated and air permeable glazing, or shockproof acrylic glazing? Virtually anything goes.
